Psychology and Pure Entertainment Purposes Essay It is a known fact that there is a great diversity of entertainment options. There are many forms of entertainment targeted towards population for different purposes such as educational, informative, or pure entertainment purposes. To begin to talk we would say that as everything, entertainment may be looked whether as a positive or negative thing. Of course, opinions about this topic can be many, depending on the angle we might be looking at it. On the one hand, entertainment is seen as a good thing for society. Referring to television for example and taking the subject from an educational point of view, there are several channels which are mainly about nature and even can provide information about physical phenomena affecting our Earth, things which can be found interesting mostly for children. Nevertheless, television has become a bad influence in the opinion of many people, as there is a lot of perversion and violent things they would prefer not to see. On the other hand, we could take the psychological field. Referring to this topic, entertainment seems to be very positive and relaxing, for example watching television when we get home after a long period of working. It certainly can help to open up our minds and stay calm for a while. However, when it comes to adolescents this can become a bad habit and abusing of its benefits can keep them apart from their obligations and their study. To sum up, I would say that we all enjoy the occasional escape from reality; but more and more entertainment is shoving its way into our world. It’s everywhere we look, we are forced to deviate from the path it leads us down. Entertainment could be a good aspect in our society if we learn how to take control of its advantages and disadvantages.

The main disadvantage is it may limit the organization to respond quickly and effectively to changes in the environment. Chocolate and Much More 1) The company in regards to the organizational design must be integrating mechanism, which is a method for managing the flow of information, resources, and tasks within the organization. 2) The repercussion of moving into new international markets without the appropriate organizational design could be a disaster. With no formulated plan the merge in to foreign countries will result in failure. 3) I recommend that the company seek optional plans that will benefit the strategic plan and mission of the organization. Ethic Case 1) If I were in Tom’s position I too wold feel very uneasy. Although with serious though Tom was chosen as the laison of production this mean his peers and boss trust his work. Also I would develop a plan that would benefit the company as a whole not just one department. 2) I would recommend to Tom advice the two departments to meet on a weekly basis to restructure communication lines. From there the two should negotiate the plans for the company and realistic accomplishments for the two departments. 3) No I can not think of any other organizational relationships or situations that might lead to a similar problem. Ethic Case I. Dobbs Electronics Manufacturing Company production and manufacturing departments have stopped communicating, which has created many problems for the company. II. Manufacturing and production departments at the electronics manufacturing company have halted all communications. The success of the sales can depend on presise delivery of the product. To do this sales representatives have promised shipment due date before the production department can produce the item. This had lead to rushing through the job, working overtime, and reducing machine downtime for maintance. Top management has recognized the problem and know they need to reestablish the communication between the two departments. In attempt to solve the situation a liaison for each department was appointed. Tom Short is the liaison for the production department, his feelings towards the assignment deal with the concern of the way his boss and peers will view him and his ability to work.

Ice Cream Survey
Survey Result Analysis We had a balanced amount of men and women mostly between the ages of 20-30, partake in our survey. However there was a wide range of age from 15-60. Almost all of our applicants were originally from South Dakota, Nebraska, or North Dakota. We did have a few people from California and from Arizona. Almost all of our applicants enjoyed breakfast food with 38 people. They usually buy ice cream in the summer, but 25 still stated they bought ice cream on a monthly basis. Almost everyone said they buy ice cream both at the store, and at ice cream stores like Dairy Queen. 3 of 44 applicants said they preferred to go to a place like Dairy Queen than the grocery store. $3-4 was the overall average that applicants said they would spend on ice cream at a retailer. $5-6 was the average spent at a grocery store. Applicants were about even when it came to the size of the container. We learned that frozen yogurt was a bad idea because almost everyone preferred ice cream over frozen yogurt. A small amount of 10 people looked at the nutrition facts on ice cream. Only 2 people preferred and ice cream with no sugar added. 3 applicants said that they buy the same flavor of ice cream every time. While 21 like to try new flavors of ice cream. It was a very close race between one solid flavor or multiple flavors. The majority was multiple flavors. Another thing that was interesting was the amount of applicants that stated that they like extra toppings on their ice cream. More than twice as many consumers eat ice cream out of the dish rather than the cone. 25 of out applicants said that they eat breakfast daily. 10 said 3-4 times week, and 7 said less than 2 times a week.Over 80% of our applicants agreed that they found ice cream enjoyable. The same amount liked the taste of bacon. About 60% said that nutrition was important to them. About 70% enjoyed the taste of maple syrup. Over 60% were willing to try new foods. After conclusive results found from our survey , we chose Maple Bacon to be our ice cream flavor. Our survey applicants stated that they buy ice cream by the gallon, quart, and by the pint. So we decided to just serve our ice cream in a gallon and in a pint. The average price people said they were willing to pay at a grocery was around $5-6 dollars.With that said, we decided that a pint of our ice cream should cost around $3. 50, and our gallons should cost about $5. 50. We also believe that because maple bacon is truly a unique flavor, so there is added perceived value to it. We also believe that if we could sign a contract with Dairy Queen, it would significantly improve our sales. People seem to like to try new flavors at places like this. The Development of Language and Memory Recall The ability for an infant to develop speech is dependent upon the ability of the child to distinguish rhythms of sounds and tones. The infant must break down the phrases of speech that at first sound like pieces of music with varying tones and cadences into distinct words which are linked to meaning. Infants begin breaking down language before they are one year old (Swingley, 2000). The ability to distinguish different sounds from each other, identifying the configuration of words, and recognize that some sounds are similar while other sounds are different is called phonological awareness. This awareness begins in infancy and can be measured as early as age 2.
